The QBRI research centers are composed of multidisciplinary teams focused on certain scientific programs and supported by powerful platforms, due to the enormous biological complexity of the research studies. In keeping with the Qatar National Health priorities, QBRI will establish and operate three centers of scientific excellence to better synergize and optimize the R&D investment. As we build QBRI infrastructure, we mandate excellence at all levels. We demand excellence in hires, facilities and partnering with the best biomedical research institutions, locally and internationally.
Consistent with its mission, in order to develop and promote translational biomedical research; national and international collaboration; and knowledge sharing, 3 research centers, 6 core advanced technology platforms and 3 enabling platforms are to be created over 5 years. QBRI’s established research centers are :
